Since the launch of Contour Travel, year after year we have been committed to creating a positive impact, including together with our GoFamily partners: Go Ocean and Go Forest.
This year is extra special. Contour Travel has grown significantly in recent years. More travelers naturally also means a larger contribution to the GoFamily. And because of that, this year we get the opportunity to Contour Travel Bos to be planted!
Retrieved from Saturday, November 28 is it time: we put on our boots, take a spade, and plant the most beautiful forest in Belgium together in Pittem.

- Number of trees: 560
- Tree species:
- At the core: sessile oak, pedunculate oak, beech, small-leaved lime, hornbeam, wild cherry, sycamore maple & silver birch.
- At the edges & around the pool: hazel, common hawthorn, alder buckthorn, rowan, holly, medlar & crab apple.
So a nice mix, with attention to biodiversity
- Impact:
- COâ‚‚ storage: For carbon storage, we work with an indicative value of 175 kg of COâ‚‚ per tree over its entire lifespan. For 560 trees, this amounts to an estimated total storage of 98,000 kg COâ‚‚.
- In addition, the forest has numerous other positive effects, such as better water management, healthier soil, improved air quality, and temperature regulation.
