The Canary Islands: an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean west of Morocco.
Several islands known rather as tour operator hotspots or among winter visitors.
We visited Gran Canaria and were pleasantly surprised.
Ideal for a 3 or 4-day incentive, and especially during the months of November - March.
While other European destinations may dare to be fickle, in Gran Canaria the climate is very pleasant then: during the day, on average, between the 20 and 24 degrees Celsius. At night, it rarely drops below . 15 degrees.
On average, there are 6 to 7 hours of sunshine per day, even in December and January.
Where to stay.
South. Towards weather you have the best conditions here, but the hotel choice is also extensive here.
We tip 2 of our favorites;
Playa del Inglés: Gold Hotel ****
A funky, picture-perfect boutique hotel (132 rooms) with a laid-back vibe.
Maspalomas: Hotel Faro *****
Upscale setting, right on the beach (and Maspalomas lighthouse). 180 rooms.
What to do.
